Stephen Fry
With the sacred comedy of life
Comes the divine tragedy of death.
Together like husband and wife
They share each other's exhaled breath
And join the sky like almighty smoke,
Smudging the clouds to make us choke.

Restrictions make us kneel in prayer.
Ask our God: unite warring tribes;
Feel pure peace, like that holy pair;
Live the bliss this scene describes.
Together we are stronger still
And all we need is certain will.

Intentions can decide our fate:
The way we carry ourselves forth.
Glorious interventions wait
For the faithful tracking compass north,
To pole, where deliverance stands:
Ascension, in pairs, holding hands.
