Apex Predator / Dominant Species.

I think I'd like to be a cat
And curl up neatly on the mat
Be well fed and get quite fat
Have my owner clear up my shat

Or maybe I could be a dog
Lap up water from the bog
Avoid the human's daily slog
And not feel like a tiny cog

Perhaps I should become a bird
For flying doesn't seem absurd
Way above dropping turd
Upon the heads of the frantic herd

But I am human and I'm brave
Befriending all the beasts I save
So, less a master more a slave,
Until I crawl into my grave.
