Write down:
Two states.... On or off.
On: Empowered and delivering.
Off: Without, having nothing to offer.

Am I off, I wander?
Being on is a statement in itself.
A statement of intent:
Stateful and having strong purpose.

Am I off, then, I wonder?
Thinking about it takes me places.
But being off means
Those places are not my own.

I'm spinning like a particle,
Imparting something...
Must be on.
Up? So I must be off. Stateless and empty.

Write down:
Two states. Being off can only mean
I will soon be on...
I will soon be home...
I will soon be...

The Palestinian Declaration of Independence, written by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, was proclaimed by Yasser Arafat today in 1988.

The Day of the Imprisoned Writer is observed internationally on this day.
