J. Robert Oppenheimer
I could never fit within your palm
at the end of your arm

a palm divided by a blade
you made

ball into a fist
to make me miss slitting my wrist

by the width of a thought
of the wars unfought

of the fuse unlit
of the match unfit

of the distance placed
of the time we waste

to forget the shape of your face
pile up the empty space

at the end of your arm
into your extended palm
