I applied a filter 
To "The Great American Songbook".
Each note was sieved into a bucket.
The thickest were discarded.
Only the thin and nimble can prevail.
I rolled the remains around in the pail
And poured out the accompanying lyrics.
Rolling them flat, I then kneaded them
And left them to rise.
To my great surprise, 
When I decided to bake,
All that was left
Was "The Wings of a Dove"
